Artist's Statement:

Design has been the dominant activity for most years. Time for painting and constructions varied but always provided that needed contrast between solving client problems and the joy and freedom of creating without constraints. Now activity has moved to the other side... where painting and constructions are a primary focus.

Most works of a new series develop without a totally formulated plan or conscious control. Much of the joy is in the process and the discoveries that come with working. Each piece evolves with study and restudy. Many are worked upon, added to, accented, and changed over periods of weeks or even months. The choices are infinite and final directions are not always apparent, sometimes even elusive. When completion comes, it is primarily by feeling.
