For
the past three years, Norma Flanagan has been working with
encaustic materials on wood and canvas panels. The artist
often applies photographic images, wood, lead, organic material,
or other objects into the hot wax to give her images that
which cannot be obtained with only paint. The encaustic process
produces fine resilient art works that will remain clear and
unchanged beyond the viability of traditional oil paintings.
Norma Flanagan has exhibited extensively in the Northeast.
She has received many awards and is included in many private
and corporate collections.

Shirley
Kraus is exhibiting her monoprints which have earned awards
at the Art of the Northeast USA at Silvermine and in the annual
competition for Connecticut artists at the Stamford Museum
where she received a First Place Award. She is also exhibiting
ink and watercolor drawings in a series of whimsical works
in ink and watercolor which she describes as a myriad of fantasy
and dreams. These drawings evolved spontaneously and present
a delightful change.
